Personal Data Protection

KOVAR a.s., with registered office at No. 212, CZ 756 11 Leskovec, Company ID: 45197164 (hereinafter "KOVAR"), protects the personal data of its employees, business partners and other individuals it comes into contact with in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR), ensuring that personal data is not misused and is handled in line with applicable legal requirements.

 

Purpose of Data Processing

As the data controller, KOVAR processes personal data in connection with:

  • contractual relationships with suppliers, customers, and other entities
  • employment and payroll matters
  • property protection

 

Legal Basis

The legal basis for processing data for purpose (a) above is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party or steps taken at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract.

The legal basis for processing data for purposes (b) and (c) is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR – the legitimate interests of the controller.

 

Data Retention Period

Personal data is processed only for the necessary period appropriate to each processing purpose. After this period, the data is either destroyed or retained only for the time required under applicable legal regulations.

 

Data Subject Rights

You have the right to:

  • request access to your personal data,

  • request the correction of inaccurate data (if you believe the data held by KOVAR is incorrect),

  • request deletion or restriction of processing,

  • request the portability of the personal data you have provided to KOVAR,

  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

All requests will be duly assessed and handled in accordance with applicable provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

 

Possible Recipients of Personal Data

Recipients of personal data processed under purpose (b) may include law enforcement or administrative authorities in the context of legal proceedings.

KOVAR does not carry out any automated processing of personal data that would result in decisions or actions affecting the rights or legitimate interests of data subjects.
